DESCRIPTION:\nOn March 11, 2025, an informative meeting was held in Ankara as part of the INSPIRE – Technical Assistance for “Capacity Building for Proper Transformation of the Creative Economy in Turkiye” Project. The project, for which the General Directorate of Development Agencies under the Ministry of Industry and Technology is the beneficiary, and Istanbul Development Agency and Izmir Development Agency are project partners, aims to support the development of creative industries through a comprehensive capacity-building process.\nDuring the event, findings from research conducted on Turkiye’s creative economy were shared, and information was provided on the current state of the sector. Additionally, the Creative Economy Periodic Sector Report was presented, and participants were informed about the Creative Economy Summit, which will take place on May 29-30, 2025.\n													\nBroad Participation from Industry Representatives and Public Institutions\nThe event commenced with an opening speech by Mr. Ahmet Şimşek, General Director of Development Agencies. Project Team Leader Laetitia Manach and Key Expert Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gökçe Dervişoğlu Okandan provided insights into the key outputs of the INSPIRE project. Dr. Pınar Börü delivered a presentation on the data collection process and classification studies conducted within the project.\nIn the second part of the event, a session was held on the importance of structured dialogue in the creative economy sector. This was followed by a panel discussion moderated by Mr. Mustafa Caner Meydan, Deputy General Director of Development Agencies, focusing on inter-institutional cooperation and communication in the creative economy ecosystem. The panel featured representatives from the Presidency of Strategy and Budget, the Ministry of Trade, TOBB Creative Industries Council, and academia.\nThe meeting provided a productive discussion platform aimed at enhancing collaboration among creative economy stakeholders and developing a shared vision for the future of the sector.
