SUMMARY:8th Policy Lab Session
Shaping the Roadmap from Ideas to Action
DESCRIPTION:Held on April 8, 2025, the eighth session of the Policy Lab stood out as a strategic step focused on transitioning from solution proposals to concrete action plans. Participants reconvened to build upon ideas developed in previous sessions and shape practical policy recommendations.\nThe session was facilitated by Sir John Newbigin —  Sir John Newbigin, a member of the UK Creative Industries Council, Chair of the British Council’s Arts and Creative Economy Advisory Group, and an advisor to the Mayor of London. Designed to move beyond theory, the session aimed to transform ideas into feasible, measurable, and sustainable steps. Thematic small-group discussions enabled both in-depth analysis and a rich exchange of ideas from diverse perspectives.\nObjective and Focus of the Session\nThe main goal of this session was to explore how previously developed solution approaches could be implemented in real-life contexts. Participants discussed which actors could take responsibility, which resources could be mobilized, and how the proposals could be turned into actionable projects. The aim was to transform abstract ideas into realistic and actionable initiatives.\nDiscussion Topics\nTwo breakout groups were formed under the themes of “Finance” and “Awareness.” The Finance group discussed economic feasibility and sustainable funding mechanisms, while the Awareness group focused on communication strategies and educational programs that could drive behavioral change.\nA Shared Ground Enriched by Participant Contributions\nIn the second part of the meeting, each group’s outputs were shared with all participants. This exchange process allowed the proposals to be refined with mutual feedback and strengthened through collective insight.\nThis important session of the Policy Lab was seen as a milestone not only for idea generation, but also for enhancing the capacity to turn these ideas into action.\n\nStay Connected for More\nTo stay up to date with developments in the creative economy, project updates, and upcoming events, follow us on our social media channels:\n📸 Instagram: @inspire_turkiye\n🐦 X (Twitter): @inspire.turkiye\n📘 Facebook: Inspire Turkiye\n💼 LinkedIn: Inspire Türkiye\n📺 YouTube: INSPIRE TR\n
