Sixth Policy Lab Successfully Held
The sixth edition of the Policy Lab, a key platform contributing to the policy development process in the creative economy, was held online on March 18. Bringing together leading experts in the field, the event provided a valuable forum for discussions on the current landscape of the creative industries and future policy recommendations.
The event commenced with an opening presentation by Sir John Newbigin, a member of the UK Creative Industries Council, Chair of the British Council’s Arts and Creative Economy Advisory Group, and an advisor to the Mayor of London, along with Gail Caig. Following this, discussions focused on the latest dynamics of the creative industries, as well as the opportunities and challenges facing the sector. Additionally, the role of creative hubs, clusters, and intermediary organizations within the industry was explored in detail.
Throughout the session, participants engaged in focused discussions within different working groups, addressing key themes related to strengthening the creative economy. The event concluded with a general session where insights were shared, fostering a dynamic exchange of ideas.
The Policy Lab series continues to serve as a critical platform for shaping the future of the creative economy by bringing together industry stakeholders and policymakers. Future editions of the event will further explore innovative solutions and strategies to support the sustainable growth of the sector.
